- While working as an Accounts Associate with Webstrong Group, Marc was the account lead for the Reelect Tom Harkin campaign. He worked with the President of Webstrong to provide strategic advice to the campaign. Marc suggested setting up an emergency page in response to the devastating flooding that hit Iowa in 2008, as well as a summer website redesign to be rolled out in the fall to draw people to the website for the final push. Both ideas were accepted.
- As a two-time campaign manager, Marc has built campaign plans that included calendar planning for all aspects of the campaign; his strategic thinking was valued by both of the candidates he worked for.
Marc can write campaign emails
- Marc has extensive experience writing and editing campaign emails. He performed this function for the Reelect Tom Harkin campaign and several other clients at Webstrong. He also wrote and edited emails for the Kaye Kory for Delegate and Jeff Barnett for Congress campaigns.
- Marc is familiar with several email clients including NGP, ExactTarget, and Constant Contact.
- Marc has experience producing and delivering emails to nationwide email lists. He has also pulled email statistics and done email statistical analysis to optimize email performance
- With experience in campaign online advertising, direct mail, and media relations, Marc can connect with Blue State Digital's clients because he has been in their shoes. He understands how to unify the various aspects of the campaign through a winning message due to his experience as a campaign manager. He has also worked in new media, and can emphasize the medium's importance to any successful race.

- Marc loves to laugh. He thinks he is pretty funny, and hasn't really been told otherwise. He believes that sometimes when the going gets tough, you need to fall on the floor with laughter before you can grab the bull by the horns and solve the problem. Per the job announcement, Marc loves loft office space, excels at ping-pong (seriously, he thinks he may instantly be one of the best ping-pong players at BSD), and loves the idea of having an office dog.
